Brief Introduction Of Yellow Mealworms

Mealworms are usually referred to as the larvae of the mealworm beetle. Like all holometabolic insects, they pass through four life stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. The larva is usually more than 2.5 cm long, while the adult is a black beetle between 1.25 and 1.8 cm long.

It takes about 65-68 days for mealworms to hatch from eggs to larvae that can be dried and processed. Since mealworm reproduction and growth time is very short, we can easily adjust mealworm production. The processing method is microwave drying with large microwave equipment. This ensures that the mealworms' proteins and fats are not damaged during drying.

Are Dried Mealworms Safe To Use As Pet Food?

Any pesticide residues and toxic substances can kill the yellow mealworm during its growth, so never use vegetables and feed containing any pesticides during the breeding process. This ensures that the dry mealworms themselves are free of any pesticide residues and harmful substances. So,it is a very safe pet food.
